Hello World
Holy cow I’ve got a blog now
Ever since the summer after 7th grade, when Eric Bowden decided we needed to go into business together designing websites (joke’s on him: he had no idea the depths of my indolence at the time. He’s since wisened up. And he’s still got the domain from that lucrative business venture), I’ve lightly toyed with the idea of having a personal site.
Despite the fact that I went on to complete a computer science degree, and have been using lots of various technology in both personal and professional capacities for decades – until now I never got any closer to that goal than using iWeb on my OG MacBook Pro to post some updates from my early business travels for the enjoyment of my family.
Fast-forward through many years of me eschewing social media, moving thousands of miles away from where I (mostly) grew up, and (like all the rest of us) living through a couple delightful years of pandemic-heightened isolation: I find myself looking for some sort of creative outlet.
I’m not entirely sure what I expect out of this site yet – but just going through the exploration of modern web tooling and publishing options has already proven to be super interesting. If I had to guess, I’d say I’ll probably be posting about the various woodworking, brewing, or other kinds of building/tinkering projects I get up to now and again.
I might write something about technology?
I’ll almost definitely swear too much.
